Integrated Mathematics 1 | ||||
by Spruill Kilgore | ||||
This text treats mathematics as a problem solving endeavor. Each problem set includes a wide variety of exercises which explore ideas that have not been formally introduced. For example, students will prove the isosceles triangle theorems before they are formally stated. The text assumes a year's preparation in algebra, and then covers geometry up to similarity, and algebra through quadratic functions. The text has been used extensively in cooperative learning environments. |
