WHAT OUR COLLEAGUES SAY:
"The overall layout of the book is very supportive building from simple mathematical concepts to more complex ones. It has good scope and sequence. The topics are combined in a way that students and teachers would feel comfortable moving from the first activity to the last. It has a nice, easy format with one side for teacher information and the other for the other side for student activities."

| Getting Started with the TI-73 Graphing Calculator in Middle School Mathematics
|
| by Peter Balyta |
| This book is intended for use by teachers and students using the TI-73 graphing calculator in their middle school classes for the first time. It was designed so that it could be used by teachers with very little, if any, experience with graphing calculators. The goal is for students and teachers to become comfortable in using the TI-73 in their classrooms by combining data exploration with real-life applications, and thus a greater emphasis is placed on mathematical thinking. A comprehensive CBR(tm) activity introducing the concept of a variable and the notion of a function is included. |
