by George Best and Richard Lux
This book is designed to help students prepare for
the Calculus BC examination. This edition consists of six sample AP
examinations. Each test contains 45 multiple-choice questions and 6
free-response questions that conform to the format prescribed by the
College Board for the 2004 Calculus BC Examination.
The six tests provide valuable practice in judging
when and when not to use a graphing calculator. The questions are challenging
and similar to those your students will experience on the actual examination.
The authors have many years of experience teaching calculus and grading
AP exams.
A great resource when you are trying to give your students
an effective review prior to the AP examination.
These books are specifically written for student use
and the minimum order is for 10 to 15 books at $19.00 each. There is
a quantity price reduction for purchase of more than 15 books. A student
solution manual is also available. Sample questions may be requested
for preview.

"...The best resource I have seen for the AP Exam is by
George Best and Richard Lux. They offer a review book that my
kids say is just like the AP Exam..."

"...I have found the questions in the
Best/Lux materials to be superior to those I have found elsewhere.
In fact, the problems seem so carefully crafted that they instruct
students even as the students are preparing for the AP exam."
Tim Smith, Carpintena, CA

"...The
Barrons book is good but I think the book Preparing For
the AP Calculus (BC) Examination by George Best and Richard Lux
is even better. It contains 5 full length examinations with lots
of questions where the functions are defined by graphs or numerical
data values..."
